There has been a fair amount of buzz surrounding the popularity of growlers lately as a result of the New York Times article The New Old Way To Tote Your Beer. As die hard proponents of American craft beer, we at BeerMenus find growlers to be one of the best ways to enjoy beer. I wrote a brief history of the growler back in May '09 putting growlers in context a bit. We have since been cited in a Christian Action League article in North Carolina, which claims growlers make underage drinking easier. I'm not even going to touch that one.
